Titres 2.1 update
Saturday, March 13, 2010I have added trackball support this update. Slide trackball to the left to slide left, to the right to slide right, up to rotate, down to slide down, and click the trackball to drop the current piece. Additionally, it was suggested that I make the ghost/preview blocks optional, so this has been added this release. I have also added a line around the play grid as it can become difficult to see where it is as the grid gets full of blocks. This was also a user suggestion.
Titres 2.0 update
Tuesday, March 9, 2010For this update I have given the interface a makeover. The preview pieces are now the same color and far clearer than the old silver piece. The grid is now checkered as well as the next and hold boxes. I also fixed the rotation of the pieces so that they don't "wiggle" over a space and then back as they are rotated around. I have also restored the window status bar as I don't need as much space as I thought for 480 tall screens.
Titres 1.3 update
Tuesday, March 2, 2010The big news this update is the hold box. This enables you to hold a piece you can't use until a better time. I also have fixed a bug where it wouldn't clear the very top row if you cleared lines and fixed that the current score wasn't saved when the game was closed. I also improved the code so it should runs faster and more efficiently (side benefit being it also uses less battery). I also updated the app icon to the best of my limited graphical abilities.
Titres 1.2 update
Monday, March 1, 2010I have added an on-screen notification for when the game is paused as well as a better way to resume play. Simply tap the screen twice and it will resume the game. I also improved the readability of the on-screen text and have added an optional vibrate when lines are cleared.
Titres 1.1 update
Sunday, February 28, 2010I have added a counter to the screen that will display the number of lines cleared as well as changed the way the game gets faster through the levels of difficulty. I have also fixed a bug where all of the L pieces pointed the same direction.
Titres available now on the Android Market
Saturday, February 27, 2010Titres is a brand new falling blocks game for the Android(TM) platform. The goal is to arrange the falling blocks so that they form complete rows and disappear, all the while preventing the stack of fallen blocks from reaching the top of the grid. The more rows completed with one falling block, the more points are awarded! Keep watch for many improvements to come in the near future.
